What is an e-invoice (Factur-X)?
An e-invoice can be read straight into your customer's accounting. Factur-X is a pdf with the invoice data attached to it.
An ordinary pdf is made for a person to read. An e-invoice carries the same details as structured data as well, so an accounting package can read them in without anyone retyping the amounts.
Factur-X is a convenient form of it: one pdf with an XML attachment. A person opens the pdf and sees the invoice as always. Your customer's system reads the attachment and books it. Two readers, one file.
More and more companies ask for e-invoices, and public bodies across the EU have been required to accept them since 2019. The invoices from this editor come with a Factur-X attachment, so your customer can process them straight away.
